[edit] Biography

The school was founded in 1957 when it broke away from Leighton Park School, just down the road from the school towards Central Reading and Reading University. Its first headteacher was Mr. Roy Stillman. Classes first started in the old, converted Stable Block (now demolished). There was also the White Building which still exists as of 2006 which served as the Headmaster's office and other functions. The French teacher is Francis Odell.

On November 20, 2006, the Board of Governors decided that the school start teaching as a co-educational school. Girls will come in the Pre Prep starting in September 2007, and for the rest of the school, in September 2008.
