Crooklyn is a single by the hip hop group, Crooklyn Dodgers. Released to coincide with Spike Lee's film of the same name, the song is widely considered to be a classic, and features emcees Buckshot, Masta Ace, and Special Ed, at the height of their popularity (the emcees were also selected because they're all from the borough of Brooklyn). This song is a good example of progressive mid-90s hip hop. It contains scratch samples from "Who Got Da Props?" by Black Moon and "The Place Where We Dwell" by Gang Starr.

[edit] Music video

The video starts with a clip of Michael Jordan announcing that he is from Brooklyn as he swings a baseball bat. Then it cuts to a clip of Jackie Robinson playing baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Then it cuts to various pictures of black people as well as each of the rappers in their Brooklyn home.
