Crobylus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Crobylus (Athenian Middle Comic poet): Crobylus is assumed to be a Middle Comic poet, although there is no specific ancient evidence to this effect. 11 fragments of his comedies survive, along with 3 titles: The Man Who Tried To Hang Himself, The Woman Who Was Trying To Leave Her Husband or The Woman Who Left Her Husband, and Falsely Supposititious. The standard edition of the fragments is in Kassel-Austin, Poetae Comici Graeci IV; Kock numbers are now outdated and should not be used.
