[edit] Miami
Crobar in Miami Beach closed down on April 23, 2006, with a performance by noted house music DJ Erick Morillo. The venue was closed down for a round of renovations and opened on Super Bowl weekend, February 2-4th, 2007. The venue was acquired by Louis Puig, the owner/operator of rival club, Space, after a failed buyout by the Opium Group, owners of successful clubs Mansion, Privé, and Opium Garden. The influx of cash provided the financing for this renovation. The club has now reverted to its former name of Cameo, which has been the name of the venue since the 1930s when the building was constructed.
[edit] Chicago
Sunday nights at the Crobar in Chicago are Gay Night.
[edit] New York
Crobar, along with Club Sol were temporarily closed on January 5, 2007 for numerous complaints, violations, and a double shooting in July of 2006. On February 2, 2007, Crobar-New York was closed permanently. A new club, known as Studio Mezmor, opened two weeks later on February 17, in the same location and with mostly the same resident DJs.
