[edit] History

Croatia played their first international on November 28, 1992, against Bosnia & Herzegovina, and won by over 40 points, with the final score being 47 to three. That was the only match they played that season, though they played four the following year, starting off with a 16 to nil win over Austria. This was then followed by a massive 78 to three win over Hungary. After these initial successful wins, they then faced off against Italy, who defeated them 76 to 11. This was followed by a win over Morocco and a win over Spain.

They had mixed results the following year, winning three of their five fixtures, though they lost to Ukraine and Luxembourg, though the following year, they were able to defeat Luxembourg in their only fixture of 1995. Croatia went undefeated throughout 1996, a streak which extended into 1997, though it ended after three matches that year by Georgia. After the loss against Georgia in 1997, Croatia lost only one match until late 2000, against the Netherlands.

Their results over 2001 through to 2003 were rather mixed, though they still won five matches in a row from 2001 to 2002. Croatia started in round three of the 2007 Rugby World Cup European qualification tournament, though they only won one of their four matches and finished fourth.
