Croatia was the first country to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Dino Jelusić. His sister, Lorena Jelusić, sang for the country as well, in 2005, coming in 12th.

Croatia will not participate in 2007 due to expense. They may have been excluded anyway in 2007 as they breached EBU broadcasting rules in 2006.
