Award Archive

The purpose of this page is threefold - easy reference to every award or special message I have recieved to date, a page I can look at when I'm fed up to remember that my efforts are in some way useful and appreciated, but also (and mainly) to note the kindness of those wikipedians that have gone out of their way to leave such messages or awards on my talk page and as a mark of appreciation and humility for their doing so.

Each message or award/message is dated as timestamped, and can be located on the appropriate talk page archive as listed here. Any new award will be added to this page either before the next talk archive page is created, or during the period that archive will cover.

Barnstars

Sometimes, kind and generous users on Wikipedia offer barnstars and other awards to people who they feel have done something special for Wikipedia or it's community. Some people feel that they shouldn't be shown off as if to lord them over other users. Others feel that they should be prominently displayed and worn with pride. In my opinion, niether view does justice to the true spirit in which awards are given. As such, any awards I have or will recieve are placed on this page, thus offering the best of both worlds - discreet, but demonstrating appreciation for them :)

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
I award User:Crimsone the random acts' of kindess barnstar, as she tirelesly and patiently helps users caught in rather angry fights and predicements. Robdurbar 20:39, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Other awards and special messages

Sometimes wikipedians choose to leave special messages and/or other awards on a users talk page to show appreciation, to show that they've noted a worthy action of pattern of behaviour, or sometimes it's simply a random act of generosity and/or kindness. Again, there's no obligation to do so, nor any expectation of it, but it's wonderful when it happens :)...

Not only do you keep a watchful and kind eye at WP:PAIN but you find time to fend off muggers from my talk page as well! Thanks for being so supportive and thoughtful. Shell babelfish 10:00, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
