[edit] Birthdate

Glover's birthdate has been flucuating in this entry between April 20, 1964 and September 20, 1964. I have found both dates mentioned in different Internet sites. For instance, The Crispin Glover Encyclopedia at http://www.bttf.com/glover.htm mentions September 20 and so does AllMovie.com at http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll . Whereas, imdb.com at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000417/ states that April 20, 1964 is the actor's Birthday. I think this needs to be resolved. Anyone know the real date?

Glover states that his birthday is April 20th, 1964 in the retroCRUSH interview cited by the article. 143.127.3.10 19:02, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Correction

According to imdb.com, "Rubin and Ed" came out four years after Glover's appearance on David Letterman. There's a possibility that his little routine on David Letterman influenced his performance in "Rubin and Ed", but he was promoting "River's Edge" at the time. I'd rather not be the person to correct this mistake, as it'd require more thought than I'm willing to expend for the sake of the entry. Please, though, someone else fix it.

Well, considering Orkly Kid was filmed sometime around 1986, but wasn't actually released until 2001 (as part of The Beaver Trilogy), the fact that Rubin and Ed didn't find distribution until 4 years after it was filmed wouldn't shock me. I don't know the specifics, but I have seen Rubin and Ed and the clip of his appearance on Letterman, and there's no doubt to my mind that he was performing as Rubin. 63.249.109.224 08:27, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
There is no listing on IMBD that the movie "Rubin and Ed" was filmed in 1987. So it seems unlikely he was in character for the movie four years before it was filmed. I am changing the entry accordingly; feel free to change it back if there is some evidence to the contrary. patrickw 16:04, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ruben Farr

On his second appearance on "Late Night, with David Letterman" Crispin intimated that there was a classmate who looked exactly like him. I later read that Crispin taylored his Ruben character from "Ruben and Ed" after Ruben Farr. Is this just another joke by Mr. Glover, or does Ruben Farr really exist? --Bourbon King 23:47, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

It's his nose, I think. It could be a latex appliance. -Ashley Pomeroy 16:10, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lawsuit

The article says that Glover "won a landmark victory, setting a precedent for how actors' images may be used in films." But did Glover actually win the lawsuit or did he "win" an out-of-court settlement? (Here Glover says that the lawsuit "was settled with mutual satisfaction.") --Keith111 12:36, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
