Neat idea. Kudos to whoever introduced it. Pcb21| Pete 14:50, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
This shouldn't read "non-copyrighted". GFDL images are still copyrighted to the person who took them. Perhaps "freely-licensed image" would be better? Angela. 19:35, August 13, 2005 (UTC)
- I was about to say the same thing. Secretlondon 18:56, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
- The wording was mine originally, although I was never very happy with it for the reasons you identify. I proposed it on the cricket project talk page, and nobody could think of a better wording. The main aim is not to be technically correct, so much as to communicate to someone who knows nothing about what's acceptable that they can't just take a photo off the web and put it on a cricketer's page. I would love to find a better wording, but whatever wording is chosen must meet that primary goal. Stephen Turner 05:06, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Blank image
I'm trying out a blank image in order to avoid encouraging people to upload copyright images (they don't read the text in detail whatever it says). See discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cricket. Stephen Turner 09:50, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
