Christina Vergara-Paras was born to a Filipino parents. She is the older sister of Lizzie McGuire star Lalaine. In 1994, she became a Star Search Champion and later won the Filipino American Entertainer of the Year. She has starred in many Broadway producations including Les Miserables.
