[edit] Synopsis
Bowser and his Koopalings use their Doomship to invade an Earth jail. Roy drops down from the Doomship on a rope and abducts a tough criminal named Crimewave Clyde. Soon Bowser introduces himself and the Koopa Kids to Clyde. Later, at Bowser's castle, Bowser tells Clyde to teach his Koopalings on how to become expert criminals. But Bowser has his fingers crossed when he tells Clyde "You can keep half of what you steal". The first lesson is bank robbery which the Koopalings siege a Mushroom Kingdom bank, however Mario (as Raccoon Mario) and Luigi turn up to stop the crime. Clyde then gives lesson two. Larry, with a help of a Mushroom boy, trick the Mario Brothers to go into a Desert Land dungeon where Morton unleashes a Boom-Boom which Mario and Luigi have to run away from.
Clyde soon teaches the Koopalings every trick that he knows, however this is backfiring as they steal from each other. After giving out the total of the stolen goods, Bowser gives out "the crime of the century" which is to steal a billion gold coins from the Mushroom Kingdom Treasury. While Mario and Luigi are still trapped in the maze, Ludwig places a Bob-omb on Clyde's foot as the Koopalings double cross the criminal since they have no plans of giving him anything.
Clyde barges into the dungeon, and begs the Marios to help him return to Earth, and agrees to help them stop the Koopalings from robbing the treasury. When the Koopalings get around to robbing the treasury, the Marios and Clyde surprise them from inside the vault, tie them all up, and send them back to the Doomship with a Bob-omb, forcing Bowser to retreat. The Marios then return Clyde to jail, who remarks that his life sentence is better than another day with the Koopalings.
