Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Joey stresses over the unity mural she painted for the school. The mural, a character that symbolizes ‘possibility’ is unveiled to reveal that someone defaced it. Dawson thinks is a random prank, but Pacey thinks it is a direct attack on Joey. Pacey learns that Caulfield defaced the mural and asks him to apologize and turn himself in. When he doesn’t apologize, Pacey picks a fight with Caulfield in the parking lot.

Matt Caufield sits before Andie and the Disciplinary Committee, accused of cheating on a test. Green tells Andie that she did well on the PSAT and may get a National Merit Scholarship. Then she agonizes over the fact that she cheated on the test and resigns from the Disciplinary Committee. Andie then confesses to Principal Green about cheating on the PSAT.

Pacey moves in with Deputy Doug. During a visit to see Pacey, Joey learns that Dawson asked Pacey to ‘look out' for her and doubts Pacey’s true motivations. Then she confronts Dawson and realizes Pacey’s intentions are genuine.

Principal Green expels Caufield for defacing the mural and sentences Pacey to a mentoring program for inciting the fight.
