Category talk:Crime in Kosovo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If the article "Sexual trafficking in Kosovo" is located into main Kosovo category and not into this subcategory, it is nothing but POV and politization of Wikipedia. The main Kosovo category should contain only few relevant articles (Kosovo article, and articles about subdivisions of Kosovo). Even articles about subdivisions of Kosovo should be moved into separate category. In fact I will do this, I will move them there, and the only article into main Kosovo category will be Kosovo article. I am only trying to make some order in Serbia-Montenegro categories and Serb-Albanian Kosovo conflict should not be stumble for this. I will repeat: "Sexual trafficking in Kosovo" article DOES NOT belong into main Kosovo category!!! PANONIAN (talk) 23:17, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

Er, normally all the articles on a subject (i.e. Cats, Musical theater, Kosovo) go into one category unless there are too many of them to fit in that category, in which case sub categories are created (like Cat breeds, Norwegian musical theater, Crime in Kosovo). Could you provide a quote from wikipedia policy or guidelines on catagorization that suggests that "main Kosovo category should contain only few relevant articles (Kosovo article, and articles about subdivisions of Kosovo)"; this does not seem to be true of most other categories. I don't understand what this has to do with any "Serb-Albanian Kosovo conflict", it seems like a simple catagorization issue. I look forward to your response, and thanks for trying to bring some order to the Serbia-Montenegro categories; it's a big challenge. JesseW, the juggling janitor 07:22, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Ok, one question at the time:

  • 1. There were too many articles in the Kosovo category until they were moved to sub-categories.
  • 2. The "Sexual trafficking in Kosovo" article is a controversial one, thus, if it is located into main Kosovo category it send certain political message for Wikipedia users: a message that two most important articles related to Kosovo are "Kosovo" and "Sexual trafficking in Kosovo", and that is a clear POV. We must be careful with those things (the importance of certain articles in the categories), especially when articles are controversial like this one.
  • 3. What I say is that article should not be located within the main Kosovo category. If you think that it should be not located within the "Crime in Kosovo" category too, then please propose some third category where we should move it. PANONIAN (talk) 10:46, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Ah, thanks; that does make more sense now. Well, my suggestion(if you are willing to implement it) would be to write an article Crime in Kosovo, and move the current content of Sexual trafficking in Kosovo into it (as well as talking about the other types and natures of crime in Kosovo; then the article could be put in the main category(as it is the only one on that topic, and it wouldn't be biased (I think) as it would just be describing one aspect true of every country (that they have crime), not singling out Kosovo as special in having lots of Sexual trafficking. However, until this is done, I no longer object to the Crime in Kosovo category. Thoughts? JesseW, the juggling janitor 19:29, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Well, I do not know much about crime in Kosovo to write article, but I added link to the proposed "Crime in Kosovo" article into "Crime in Kosovo" category, so if somebody want to write this article, he have good place to start it:

I only making some order within the categories here, so what I want to procure is that the categorization of the articles is not biased, even if some articles are. You can see that all 5 main Serbia-Montenegro categories now contain only one article, and for non-biased presentation they should remain like that:

[edit] Crime in Kosovo

This category Crime in Kosovo it was open for the political article Sexual trafficking in Kosovo and I dont see no argumen witch is profing that this article can be see only from the Kosovo point of View. This problem is not special problem for Kosovo and you can not spleet from the crime in South Evrope and even mor for Evrop. The Balkan states are only a transite countries. They dont sell or by the products. The product is comming from East Evrop and has ben consumed in West Evrope. The Balkans countries has nothing to do with it. The Producent is seating in East Europe monopols and the user in West Erope monopols (Paris, London, Hamburg ...) --Hipi Zhdripi 14:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
