[edit] Summary

The area is a firm favourite with sea anglers, particularly during the winter months when the cod move in close to shore. To the north of Cresswell there is a vast 3 mile long wide beach known as Druridge Bay. South of Cresswell it is more rocky as it approaches Lynemouth, where an Aluminiul plant is situated on the coast.
