Credit.com, Inc. is a leading credit education and financial services company based out of San Francisco, CA and offers consumers free insight into their credit, guidance for improvement and customized credit and loan products through approved financial institutions. The site provides access to credit cards, credit reports, loans and other financial products and services to well over a million visitors a month.

Credit.com was founded in 1995 by Adam Levin, the former Director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. The company was established to afford consumers online access to comprehensive education, information and "best of breed" credit (finance) products and services. Credit.com used the slogan “Credit is your friend,” until undergoing a rebranding campaign in July 2006 and switching to “Wherever you stand, we stand by you.” The company has sponsored the credit education blog, www.CreditBloggers.com, since September 2005.

Credit Analysis Tools

Credit.com launched two free credit analysis tools for consumers in 2006. The first, Credit Score Compass, allows consumers to estimate their credit score and receive custom tips based on their data. The second, Credit Report Card, provides consumers with a free snapshot of their actual credit data in an innovative, educational format designed to aid with credit score improvement.

Credit Reports

Credit.com offers several different choices of credit report, credit score and credit monitoring products through partnerships with credit bureaus and other providers. This section is designed to allow consumers to compare prices and select the service that best fits their needs.

Personal Loans

Consumers can access loans from $1,000 to $15,000 online through Credit.com. One application matches the consumer with the best loan provider for their situation.

Credit Cards

Credit.com offers over 85 consumer credit cards online; including credit cards from American Express, Discover, Chase, Capital One and HSBC. These cards are presented in a format that allows consumers to compare rates, introductory periods, late fees and annual fees.

Debt Help

Credit.com is teamed with financial counselors, debt negotiators and other debt relief programs to provide consumers assistance getting out of debt.

Home & Auto Loans
