Crazy Music

Crazy Music is an affiliate Austrian company of Bamacher Video & Music Production, Bamacher Musikverlag and Management, a subsidiary of Bamacher Corporation, was founded by Kurt Bamacher in February 1990. Initially only a record company, Crazy Music soon evolved into an international music distribution, a music publishing house in various genres and the largest independent Country Music label of Austria.

In 1992 international American top star Joe Sun signed a contract with Crazy Music and followed up with two CD releases "Dixie and Me" and "Some Old Memories" besides numerous concert appearances in Austria.

Besides numerous nominations, in 1994 Crazy Music was honored by the Austrian Country Music Federation with the award Album of the Year in 1994 for their CD production "Robert Steubl A Fireman's Life". Together with the German company CMBP, Crazy Music produced two video clips, "Robert Steubl A Fireman's Life" and "Joe Sun Some old Memories", which were broadcast on SF1, a Swiss TV channel and 3SAT, a shareholding German/Austrian/Switzerland TV channel.

The company took over the Hit Records label and music publishing house in 1995. Since then the company has diversified into a wide range of music genres. Besides country music, Crazy Music now also produces, publishes and distributes pop, rock and roll, disco, techno, alternative and folk music. The CD samplers "Country Music Special A Retrospective" and "Pro Country" attracted international attention due to the appearance of artists such as David Allan Coe, Billie Jo Spears, Big Al Downing, Ed Bruce, Dave Dudley, Barry & Holly Tashian, Tom Russell, Christine Albert, Jim Eanes and other top stars of the Country genre on both CDs.

Company owner Kurt Bamacher, who is also a songwriter, received the ACMF Song of the Year award in 1996 for his song "Is it right or is it wrong?".

Six years of their existence, Crazy Music licensed and obtained exclusive rights for original Team recordings of Big Al Downing and released these in Europe in the form of a 2-CD box "Classic Collection".

Kurt Bamacher assisted by Christian Fuchs produced a 10-sequel live country music show, each sequel consisting of a two-hour show entitled "Country Corner", for Radio Salzkammergut (Free Radio).

A decade in entertainment, Crazy Music published a limited highlight edition promo CD for their 10th anniversary. Kris Kristofferson's and Wanda Jackson's personal gratulatory messages were recorded for the anniversary CD. The CD was not available for sale.

In 2001 Crazy Music acquired the publishing rights in Austria, Germany and Switzerland for Jennifer Parsignault, she is one of the US singer's titles is aired on the US TV series Dawson's Creek.

At the end of December 2004, in anticipation of the approaching its 15th anniversary in February 2005, Crazy Music released the "15 Years of Crazy Music" CD, fully packed with highlights, limited-edition and unpublished recordings across 15 years of music production. The CD, which is an update of the 10th anniversary CD, is now available for sale in an International Edition (international artists in English) and an Austrian Edition (Austrian and German artists in German).

In management division, the company obtained Big Al Downing's exclusive management rights for Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and Oceania territories. Al Downing has died on July 4, 2005 at 6:45pm, Al was country and rock 'n' roll music legend, Rockabilly Hall of Famer, he achieved the Billboard's New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year Awards (1979), a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, was frequent performer at the Grand Ole Opry, once was nominated as Best New Artist by the Academy of Country Music and has appeared on Hee Haw, Nashville Now, and Dick Clark's American Band Stand televisions programs. His hits Mr. Jones, which charted in the Top 20 on Billboard magazine, then Touch Me (I'll Be Your Fool Once More), the following year which went Top 20 was released by Warner Brothers in 1978.

15 years long journey in entertainment business, Crazy Music revise and reissue its entire product catalog by producing a sampler series of Austropop rarities, various new productions of videoclips [1] with artists such as Joe Sun "Jimmy '93" which was broadcast on TW1, an Austrian TV channel in June 2005, Dietmar Brandner, Lisa O'Kane, Frank Baum among others. Besides also revise management of artists such as Tommy Cash, Marshall X Blues Band, Micke Muster - Swedish rock 'n' roller, booking agency of artists in various genres e.g. Little Franky and The Townbeats, Matchbox, Jean Vincent, Razzle Dazzle, Johnny and The Jailbirds, Charlie Gracie, Rock Back The Clock, Red Hot Rockin', Michael T. Clayton & The Tallahassee Tornados, Marc Robinson, Ray Campi, The Strollers, Garcia Orchestra, Blues Sonic, Joe Sun, Brent Moyer, Lewis Niderman & Band, Frank Baum among others.
