Cranium is a Swedish speed metal band. Cranium's music (even the singer's accent) resembles German speed metal and thrash metal bands (like Kreator, Sodom, and Destruction). Their music and image could be described to be made tongue-in-cheek. Guitar and drum style is a buzz saw, and the vocals are lunatic screams, growls, yelps, and piercing high falsetto.

Their lyrics are masterful Speed Metal poetry that take the content of Sodom and other evilest-of-evil bands and crank them up to comical levels. Sexual violence, random violence and havoc, necrophilia, brutal kidnapping, social collapse, and other depravity are plumbed to their depths with hilarious effect. Cranium's lyrics could be seen as simple, juvenile perversion and masculine posing, but to a discerning ear accustomed to hearing tales of sodomy, lust, and livestock decapitation, a true poetry emerges. Masculine posing or not, SPEED METAL SENTENCE, SENTENCE FOR LIFE!
