Cranioclast

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A cranioclast (from Greek cranio-, "head" + -klastes, "breaker") is surgical instrument akin to a strong forceps. It was once used to crush and then extract the skull of a fetus so as to facilitate delivery in cases of obstructed labour. [1]

Cranioclast is also the name of a post-industrial music duo from Hagen, Germany. [2]
