Cranborne Middle School

Cranborne Middle School is a 9-13 year old Middle-deemed-Secondary school located in the village of Cranborne, East Dorset, England. Most pupils come from Cranborne, Alderholt, Sixpenny Handley, Wimborne St. Giles, Woodlands and Verwood. On leaving Cranborne, pupils mostly transfer to Queen Elizabeth's School, Wimborne Minster. The current headmaster is Mr Paul Chadwick.
Generally there are 400 pupils across the year groups. The majority of which transfer to QE School
[edit] Video Conferencing
Some Cranborne Middle school pupils in Year 8, that are good at french, are given the option of video conferencing (funded by the Local Education Authority). This is done once a week where they get paired up with a french pupil from a school in Lessay, La Manché. They will then talk to this french pupil every week, one week in English, the next in French. A year 8 residential trip is organised anually to visit their French in Lessay, La Manché.

- Year 5 pupils have a 3 day trip to London.
- Year 6 have a 3 day course at Hooke Court.
- Year 7 have 5 days in the Lake District.
- Year 8 pupils get a chance to go to Normandy, France for 5 days.
