Craig Simpson

Craig Simpson (Born - February 15, 1967 in London, Ontario, Canada) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey winger who played 10 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres

Simpson was drafted in the 1st Round, 2nd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. He is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion with both wins coming as a member of the Edmonton Oilers. Simpson played Collegiate hockey for the Michigan State Spartans of the NCAA from 1983-84 to 1984-85. He is the younger brother of former CHL Player of the Year Dave Simpson and the son of Canadian Olympic athlete Marion Simpson. His sister Christine Simpson is the former Marketing Manager of the Hockey Hall of Fame and is currently a hockey reporter for Versus. Simpson is immortalized as the color commentator on the EA Sports NHL video game series with play-by-play man Jim Hughson. Today, Craig is an assistant coach to fellow Londoner Craig MacTavish with his former team, the Edmonton Oilers. He also does commercials for a carpet store in Edmonton called Carpet Superstores. Simpson also holds the title of "Best Hair in the League", a reference to his always perfect hair styling.
