Craig Minervini

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Craig Minervini is an American sportscaster based in Miami, Florida. Currently, he is the pregame and postgame host for Florida Marlins telecasts on Sun Sports and Fox Sports Net Florida, and also for similar programs of the Florida Panthers on FSN Florida. He also gives occasional play-by-play of the Panthers' games on radio.

Minervini was one of the play-by-play announcers for the XFL, which ran for only one season (2001). His connection with the league's co-founder, Vince McMahon, goes even further back than that. In the late 1980s, using the stage name Craig DeGeorge, he was a regular on WWF Superstars of Wrestling, conducting live-to-tape interviews with the top talent of the then-World Wrestling Federation.

Minervini is also a former sports anchor in the South Florida market (WTVJ) and has worked a variety of events on different broadcast and cable networks.

He was born in Long Island, New York, is married, and is a father of three children.
