Craig Hughes

Craig Hughes is a Welsh professional footballer. He is a prolific goal scorer and an under-16 Welsh schools international. He joined Coventry City in their Premiership days under a two-year YTS arrangement with the option of a year's professional contract at its end. However he became homesick and negotiated his release. He joined Barry Town as a full-time professional and over the following years he has also played in the Welsh Premier League for Rhayader Town, Cwmbran Town, Port Talbot Town and Carmarthen Town, averaging better than a goal every other game. He joined Newport County in November 2005.
