Craig DeRosa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Craig DeRosa (born February 17, 1987 in Mount Sinai, New York) is an American dancer.

He was one of the contestants on the FOX Network reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance. He was part of the top 16 and was voted off with Michelle Brooke.

Before the show, he was a teacher at "Michelle Ferraro's Dance USA" where he trained with accomplished artists such as Megan Alfonso, Matthew Peacock, and Gary Schaufeld.

He first started dancing when he was eight years old, and says if he couldn't dance he would want to be a singer, actor or model. His favorite dancer is Sylvie Guillam. He says the proudest moment in his life so far was when one of his students said during their national title speech that he was their "idol as a person and a dancer." But on August 31, 2005 DeRosa was voted off along with Michelle Brooke and gave a farewell dancing routine. It was thought by the judges that he was voted off because the user base 'didn't understand' his modern dance routine, preferring the dancers of Hip-Hop music.
