Craig Crawford

Craig Crawford is a writer and television political commentator based in Washington D.C., a columnist for Congressional Quarterly, and the author of "Attack the Messenger: How Politicians Turn You Against the Media" (2005) ISBN 0-7425-3816-8. His new book, "The Politics of Life: 25 Rules for Survival in a Brutal and Manipulative World", will be published by Rowman & Littlefield in April 2007.
Crawford is a news analyst for the U.S. cable news channels MSNBC and CNBC. He regularly appears as a guest panelist on the show Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and blogs at crawfordslist.com.
Born in Owensboro, Kentucky and raised in Orlando, Florida, Crawford graduated from Stetson University (1978) and Stetson University Law School (1981). He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1982.
Before joining Congressional Quarterly, Crawford ran The Hotline, 1997 to 2003. He was a legal affairs and politics reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, 1985-1997, moving to the newspaper's Washington DC Bureau in 1989.
