CPR Lambton Yard

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lambton Yard was a small marshalling yard for the Canadian Pacific Railway in Toronto, located just west of the West Toronto Yard on the Galt Sub.

Built in 1912 to 1913, Lambton served as mechanical and freight facilities. It also had a roundhouse facility from 1913 to 1960. Demolished in the 1960, the roundhouse is now home to Walmart.

Like West Toronto, it was located in the residential area of St. Clair Avenue West and Keele Street. It was overtaken by the CPR Agincourt Marshalling Yard in the 1960s. It closed briefly from 1989 to 1994.
