Cowesett is a wealthy waterside village located in Warwick, Rhode Island, USA. Median income averages around $53,000 per household. The approximate population is 33,209 with an average population age of 43 years old. The real estate vacancy rate in Cowesett is only a mere 4%, with a 34% to 66% rent to purchase ratio of homes. Cowesett is generally bounded on the north by Rhode Island Route 117, on the south by the border between Warwick and East Greenwich, on the east by U.S. Route 1, and on the west by Rhode Island Route 2. The village can be broken into a division of communities: Seventeen Farms, Larchwood, Love Lane residential area, Heritage Estates, Major Potter residential area, Cowesett Green, Crestwood, Paddock Estates, Carey Estates, Cowesett Hills, and Indian Hill. The closest schools are Cedar Hill Elementary, Winman Junior High, and Toll Gate High School. Dept. Cowesett is also home to actor James Woods and former boxer Vinny Pazienza, and is the former home of Olympic Gold Medalist Sara DeCosta.
