The song was the final single release from "Impossible Princess" and peaked at number 39 in Australia.
The single includes the rare Track "Love Takes Over Me" which was previously released on the 7" single of "Some Kind Of Bliss" only.

The music video for "Cowboy Style" was taped during a sound check at one of the "Intimate and Live" shows and gives a taste of the magnificent talent Minogue has onstage while touring.
Nowadays, "Cowboy Style" is regarded as being one of Minogue's rarest singles (the other one being "GBI: German Bold Italic" featuring Japanese DJ Towa Tei.
