I'd like to add the relevant Blackstone text in a cleaned up (f's turned into s's) state. If you think it's just clutter, I'll understand if you delete it. But I believe that reading the primary source is helpful. Iris Anthe 02:07, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Deleted voting, since cases of women voting in the eighteenth / nineteenth century really had little correlation with marriage (in fact, in the early 1920s in Britain, married women were given higher voting eligibility than single women, since they were considered to be more mature and stable).
