Coventry Road

The Coventry Road Ground is a cricket stadium based in the town of Hinckley, Leicestershire. It was established in 1946 but demolished in 1964.
It was built after the Ashby Road ground was destroyed in the Second World War because it had left Hinckley without a venue for first-class cricket. Local businessmen rallied and Arthur Tansey donated three adjoining fields and a cricket pitch and pavilion were built. It was thought of as up to scratch and Leicestershire used it as an outground beetween 1951 and 1964. 19 games were held in total. The first game against Middlesex and the last against Kent.
The land was subsequently used for a leisure centre.
