Covenant Players

Covenant Players (aka CP) is a professional theater company, fielding touring troupes throughout the world.
Founded in 1963, CP presents original Christian themed plays written by founder, the late Charles M. Tanner, in service to schools, churches, hospitals, social service groups, the military, as well as corporate and community organizations.
The mission of Covenant Players is "to communicate the Lord Jesus Christ through the medium of drama" [[1]]. However CP is able to tailor-make presentations for Christian or Secular clientel/audiences. Covenant Players has been in continuous operation since it was founded in September 29, 1963.
CP's World Headquarters (aka WHQ) is located in Oxnard, California and their North American Headquarters in Toledo, Ohio. Around 60 full-time performing units serve in over 50 countries supported by principal offices located in Germany, Great Britain, Colombia, Australia and South Africa. Members are currently drawn from some two dozen nationalities.
Founder Charles M. Tanner died on March 11, 2006 after years of declining health following a massive stroke in 1998.
