[edit] On D.Gray-man

Just as a note. Would you and your "leading" team for D.Gray-man please, please, PELASE stop using fan speculation and bad fan translations as basis for information? Examples would be saying that Road Kamelot's name is a reference to mythology when the author has specifically stated otherwise, simply because some fans speculated that it would be interesting, and saying that Jasdebi is female because of a mistake in a scanlation that has been changed by the (fan)translator since. In general, if you wish to consider yourself a leader of any information community, you must be more accurate with your sources. Creating articles does not give you any sort of weight when they are badly written and inaccurate, and neither does changing accurate information to reflect your badly-researched statements. Thank you from vast numbers of fans with whom I've spoken about this for your consideration. Oh, also on the note of other fans, leadership also involves working with other members of the community, so please don't encourage other members to post incorrect information, either.Samuffin 20:33, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

I want to chime in and say that while the work that's been done on the D.Gray-man articles must have been time consuming and a labor of love, the maintenance of a Wiki article should be a group effort. With that in mind, I'd like to say that I've become a bit weary of people editing articles to add in their fan-speculation (something that has no place in an informational article) and changing articles without considering the notes of other users. I am not placing sole blame on you for this, however, if you wish to consider yourself a "leader" for these articles, then it'd be a good idea to encourage team effort instead of group-think. [edit] License tagging for Image:MissMai.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:MissMai.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

[edit] The twins

There's no need, at least until they got some indivual characteristics. Until now, they act almost as having the same mind and are always together. No need to separate them and just repeate to one what was said to another. At this moment, they still are more Jasdebi (the duo) than Jasdero and Debit (the individuals) on the series. - Access Timeco 02:39, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Akaleadermouth.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Akaleadermouth.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ElaragirlTalk|Count 20:34, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Licensing for D.Gray-man images

Hi! When you upload a D.Gray-man image, I suggest you to not put any license and, after the uploed, you Edit the image page adding this: -- Licensing -- ((Character-artwork))

Trading the "-" for "=" and the "(" and ")" for "{" and "}".

This is the correct licensing to the images. You can only use the "PD-self" one if you are Hoshino Katsura. - Access Timeco 20:26, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits to August 19

Please do not add yourself or anyone else without a Wikipedia article to the Wikicalendar pages. To have an article, a person must meet the criteria outlined in WP:BIO. Thank you. Fabricationary 07:32, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your message on my talk page. Lots of people add their own birthdays to the Wikicalender pages with good intentions (as a joke, or maybe they don't realize that's not what the pages are for), so don't sweat it. However, there have been some days where I've had to make around a hundred reversions because lots of people have done the same thing, and if not me, other editors have to do that work, so now that you know, please don't do it again ;). [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bookman.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bookman.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. [edit] An Automated Message from HagermanBot

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 01:21, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Miranda Lotto

No need for that, man (and, we know... probably nobody will answer :( ). I just took the old one back 'cause there is a pattern on the article, if you pay some atention. The images are 100 x 100 pixels including black borders. The new one was 100x100, but with no black borders. I don't have the manga here, so, you could just add the borders to the new one and put it back (there is a lot of recent images there, all of them also without tle borders, I will take a while until put the borders on them). - Access Timeco 01:23, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I did. But a lot of the contents were pre-me (?). I added few things here, there, and, after some months, moved the characters part to a new article. About the borders. You can do that on Adobe Photoshop (click twice on the layer, then go to strokes -> size 1, inside, black color). About the pool, better keep now, is not recomended to delete things from discussion pages. - Access Timeco 01:30, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Future Naruto

  • Please stop removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages — it is considered vandalism. You may comment at the respective page if you oppose an article's deletion. Thanks. Danny Lilithborne 06:19, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

The problem with the article is manifold.

One, it's fan speculation - and fan speculation is simply not canon. Canon is what the creator of a story declares it to be. Certainly this story is canon unto itself, but not to the Naruto universe - you're simply not the creator of Naruto. A fan, no question - but not the creator.

Even then, the article states what may be - which is what I like to call crystalballery - point number two. Wikipedia is not for that - many articles predicting what may come in the future are deleted from here.

Third, it's not much more than a fan work - not even published anywhere but out on the internet. That makes it inherently non-notable, with the possible exception of within the realms of fanfiction. There are many cases where it is demonstrated that whatever articles may be notable within their given fandom aren't going to survive - and I don't think there has ever been a case where fanfiction survives.

I'm sorry, but this article just isn't going to survive here, and those are the reasons. If you look at WP:IA, you'll get an idea of what we look for in a good article - but fanfiction, regretfully, won't survive here, and tends to be deleted with prejudice. --Dennisthe2 07:07, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Mugshot"

See Wikipedia Fair Use Policy: Point 9. That is not your mugshot. That is Gaara's mugshot. It is made from screenshots from the Naruto anime. It is a derivitive work of a copyrighted series. You are not allowed to use it on your userpage. There's nothing else to it. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 22:50, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

You can read, can't you? The page explains what fair use images are, so read it. You can only use images which you have created. That does not include photoshopped images of tv shows. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:37, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
If you find someone in error, remove the pic and tell them what I'm telling you. You do not get to use a photoshopped pic from a tv show. Period. No amount of complaining on your part will change that. Either make a pic yourself or don't bother using one. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:44, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
I do not want to explain this further. You are using a picture of a copyrighted character. No matter how you try to fake your way out of it, it will remain copyrighted. You cannot avoid this, nor can you simply recolor it to try and beat the system. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 07:32, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Do not act stupid because you lost an argument. It's unbecoming. Image:NotSuckBanner.jpg can be used on any wikipedia page because its use is allowed on Wikipedia. Being a logo of this site, any page can use it. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 08:00, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Your continued ignorance is wearing thin. You cannot use the image. It does not matter where you put it, it does not matter how you color it, it doesn't matter how many hoops you jump through in your attempts to skirt the rules. It will be removed. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:02, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
The only other image that's fair use on your page is the passport, and I've removed that, too. You don't get to use fair use images, period. I will not say this again. Readd it and I'll report you on WP:ANI for continued defiance of the rules. I've explained this to you well enough. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:16, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
If that image of people having sex is not fair use, then yes, it is more acceptable to have a picture of two people having sex on a usepage than it is to have a copyrighted character. That said, the sex pic might get removed, too, depending on the circumstances. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:24, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Depends on the image. If it violates WP:USER, it'd be removed. Your Wikipedia account is about your contributions to the encyclopedia, not about a pretty userpage. --Deskana (For Great Justice!) 11:03, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
