Pierre Dubois Davaugour is a descendent of the Lords D'Avaugour. Just how, I do not know. Adam Bishop doesn't understand why I put it there, but I thought it interesting. Most often, the world at large does not connect the internal affairs of colonizing powers with their colonies. They just assume it is a national matter, with no scope of the local or provinical element. Davaugour was obviously Breton and it is said that the northwestern regions of France were chief of all areas to provide the population of New France. I think population studies are important, but you may disagree. Sorry for this "crap", as Mister Bishop calls it. Good riddance... Rhode Islander 02:39, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, it's better to ask about it here on the talk page, not the article itself, where it doesn't seem to fit. And I did not know you were referring to this on my talk page. Adam Bishop 07:59, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
The information (not the exact descent) is in the CDNB article linked there, although it does seem rather unbalanced for that to be the only content of his bio. Choess 16:58, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
