[edit] Plot

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Kim invites Abby, a friend from high school, and her husband Adam, who is a therapist, over for dinner. Greg tells Kim he doesn't want Christine (who also knows Abby) and Jimmy there. Kim decides to get rid of Jimmy & Christine that night by offering to watch the kids while they go out. Christine is angry when she finds out that were not invited. Christine shows up during the dinner and Abby invites her and Jimmy to join them. After they start fighting Alan tells everyone that their current setup at home isn't working and that they should attend psychotherapy.

At therapy Kim blames Greg for not inviting Jimmy & Christine because she wanted them there. Adam blames Greg for everyone's problems and that he is insecure. He asks Greg to relay anything to might cause him being insecure. He tells a story when he was a kid at summer camp and trying to impress a girl with cupcakes when bullies took them away.

Adam considers Greg cured and that was the cause of his insecurity. Abby calls Adam and asks for the details and when Adam begins repeating Greg's story he notices certain objects in the room that corresponds with key details of Greg's story. For example: The calendar says the 11th (Greg was 11 at the time), bullies called Mary & William (Adam got a degree from William & Mary University). Adam is angry that Greg made the whole thing up. Then Greg smiling, walks away with his foot asleep, gradually healing. This is a strong reference to The Usual Suspects (The fake story being pulled from the walls, the gradually 'healing' foot, etc.).
