San Diego County Route S1 is a scenic rural route in the mountains east of San Diego, California.

Route S1 begins at a junction with Highway 94 at Cameron Corners near Campo. It runs north about 10 miles on Buckman Springs Road, crossing over Cottonwood Creek and the Pacific Crest Trail.
It runs west about 3 miles on Old Highway 80, crosses over Interstate 8 and runs north about 23 miles to its end at a junction with Highway 79 near Lake Cuyamaca.

Sunrise Highway, the northern portion of Route S1, is one of the best scenic drives in San Diego County. Along the road are several campgrounds and picnic areas:

- Burnt Rancheria Campground
- Desert View Picnic Grounds
- Horse Heaven Campground
- Laguna/El Prado Campground
- Foster Lodge (Sierra Club)
- Al Bahr Shrine Camp
- Pioneer Mail Picnic Grounds
The road affords magnificent views to the east, the direction of sunrise, whence the name.
