Counter Revolutionary Operations is a term used to describe military operations against irregular guerrilla forces. Forces such as the British military has been engaged in Counter Revolutionary Operations in theatres including:
- Modern Iraq after the end of the conventional phase
- The Troubles in Northern Ireland post 1969
- Cyprus
- Kenya Mau Mau
- Operations in the Malayan Emergency post 1948
