Carl Johan Georg Valdemar Flemming Kai Axel von Rosenborg, Count of Rosenborg (b. 30 May 1952) is the son of Flemming, Count of Rosenborg. He is descended from Christian IX of Denmark, Oscar II of Sweden and George II of the United Kingdom.

He married Dorrit on 3 September 1982 in Skovshoved, and they had two daughters:

  • Caroline, Countess of Rosenborg
  • Josephine, Countess of Rosenborg

Although related to the Danish Royal Family, under the Succession to the Throne Act 1953, he is not in line to succeed as he is not a descendant of Christian X. He is however in line of succession to the British throne, being descended from George II, through his daughter Queen Louisa of Denmark and Norway.
