Coulee City is a town in Grant County, Washington, United States. The population was 600 at the 2000 census.

Coulee City is located at 47°36′43″N, 119°17′27″W (47.611942, -119.290904)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 600 people, 271 households, and 162 families residing in the town. The population density was 234.0/km² (605.0/mi²). There were 351 housing units at an average density of 136.9/km² (353.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 94.83% White, 1.00% African American, 0.83% Native American, 0.33% Asian, 0.50% Pacific Islander, 0.17% from other races, and 2.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.83% of the population.

There were 271 households out of which 25.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.3% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.9% were non-families. 36.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.21 and the average family size was 2.87.

In the town the population was spread out with 24.0% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 21.7% from 25 to 44, 23.7% from 45 to 64, and 23.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 102.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.1 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $25,938, and the median income for a family was $42,500. Males had a median income of $31,375 versus $17,250 for females. The per capita income for the town was $14,411. About 14.9% of families and 22.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 29.2% of those under age 18 and 11.7% of those age 65 or over.
