Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary

The Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Canacona takula (or district) of Goa, in India. Founded in 1969, this is the second largest sanctuary in Goa.
Is noted for its array of not just animal but its plant biodiversity as well.
The ancient Jeevottam Partagal Math, known for their vedic studies make their home in the forests. Also the Kunbi and Velip tribal communities still live in the forests.
