Cot Valley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cot Valley is an outstandingly beautiful place near St Just in Penwith, Cornwall. A stream runs through the centre of the valley down to the Atlantic coast. It is often overlooked by tourists who flock towards Land's End. There are protected boulders which are of specific scientific interest. The area was once heavily tin-mined.

There is a number of houses in Cot Valley, including Cot Valley Lodge, Cot Mill, Burnt House and Cot Manor. Cot Manor also has a pottery with numbers of brightly coloured creations by Helen Jay.

Other trademarks of the beautiful valley are the rocks down at the cove Porth Nanven. They are unusually round and smooth, it is illegal to remove them from the cove after the Egg Stone was stolen.
