[edit] Re:Two Things Cited for "Speedy Deletion"
I looked at some of the things you asked me about. It does seem that some editor hastily tagged your article for deltion. I removed it and replaced it with a cleanup tag. It's evident that the article is a work in progress. As far as the image goes, it is already gone. I am not sure why it was, but to may knowledge, game logos (or logos of any kind) can be used under the fair use clause. You might consider re-uploading it (maybe wait 24 hours or chang the name), make sure that you label it correctly as a logo. This can be done by using the correct label under the drop down menu, or my manually typing in {{logo}} in the message box for uploading an image. Then, include what we call a "fair use rationale" LIke "This image does not compete with sell of the product in question, and merely serves to illustrate it." That should do it. Let me know if you have any more questions. Happy editing!--Esprit15d 21:56, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging
Regarding Image:Spoils logo.jpeg: Wikipedia regrettably does not accept new images that have "used with permission" or "for non-commercial use only" types of licences. You need to either
- Get a permission from the copyright holder to distribute it with "Copyrighted but free to use for any purpose" kind of licence, or like (which is probably unlikely in this case) or
- Use a fair use copyright tag, in this case {{logo}}, and provide a fair use rationale for the image on the image description page.
I would do it myself, but I hear this is supposed to be done by the uploader of the file, not anyone else. Welcome to the lots-of-red-tape, confusing but fascinating world of copyrights and licencing. =) --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 21:59, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and added the {{logo}} tag since the image was still up for deletion. However, adding the fair use rationale should in fact be done by the uploader. --Signed and Sealed, JJJJust (T C) 05:18, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: BOD
Hey, sorry about the late reply. I removed the bit about the BoD reforming because it is future events/matches that have not yet occured. Wikipedia is not an up-to-date news site, but an encyclopedia. So, I had to remove it. Thanks. -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 01:07, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Stephen Colbert (character)
I noticed you restored some text I removed from this article earlier today. The line, which suggests that the fictional Colbert pronounces his name differently than the real-life Colbert, is actually incorrect, as was pointed out on the article talk page. Both Colbert-the-actor and Colbert-the-character use the pronunciation with the silent T. This is mentioned in this article and this one, as well as being the evidenced in interviews & commentaries from before The Colbert Report existed in which the name is still pronounced Col-BARE -- The Strangers with Candy DVD commentary being one example. I'm not sure if you thought this was incorrect, or just mistook it for blanking, but either way, that's why I removed it. -- Bailey(talk) 01:12, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

From Hype-TDB--- Thank You so Much! The reason I want to contact Cosmic Larva is that I need an opinion from a canadian wrestling fan!
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Open_beta.jpeg
Thanks for uploading Image:Open_beta.jpeg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Iamunknown 15:38, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Apologies
As I mentioned (and you spotted), I removed your comments in error, and I put them back, and I apologise. Thanks for recognising that. Apologies also for the word "offensive" which was a bit strong. LeeG 01:10, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
