[edit] Plot
[edit] "Cosmo Con"
The story begins in Fairy World in medieval times, when a fairy is being selected to hold a fairy convention. The leader of the fairies, Jorgen von Strangle, spins a wheel with all the fairies' names on it; whichever fairy it stops on will hold the convention. Unfortunately, because Jorgen is so strong, the wheel is spun with such speed that it takes a thousand years to stop.
During Timmy Turner's class period in the present day, Jorgen calls Cosmo and Wanda back to Fairy World because the wheel is slowing down, and it turns out to be Cosmo's turn to hold the convention. At the same time, Mr. Crocker, his teacher, hands Timmy an "A", to Timmy's and the teacher's surprise. Crocker then invites himself over to Timmy's house to share the news with Mrs. Turner.
Crocker arrives and brings with him a fairy detector disguised as a flowerpot, and Mr. Turner seems suspicious of him. Crocker enters the bathroom many times. At first, all the fairies hide, another time Crocker got into the convention, but his view was obscured by various objects. Jorgen and everyone else think that Crocker's intrusion was part of the entertainment. The last time he enters, he is invading Mrs. Turner's privacy while she is reading a magazine. Mr. Turner then kicks Crocker out of the house, then when timmy's dad says "Timmy, if you are going to do that, shut the door!" then it ends.
[edit] "Wanda's Day Off"
Wanda takes a vacation, and Cosmo's sure he can handle things while she's gone. He cannot, and thanks to a wish gone awry, cockroaches try to take over the world.
[edit] Trivia
- The Wheel of Torture is a parody of Wheel of Fortune. The crowd even shouts "Wheel... Of... Torture!" when it is introduced, like on the game show.
- During the wheel scene, you can see an Alligator with the fairies.
- Binky mentions The Black Plague, which had started in 1347 and ended in 1351. He thought it was a band. It could be possible that this could have been years after it had devastated Europe, although it was probably more of an inside joke, for someone who knew what it was, without further meaning to the episode. Although, it could be a possible reference to the metal band, Black Sabbath.
- The history in this episode does not add up, because 1000 years after the Black Plague will be around the year 2350, and the show is clearly in modern times.
- The name Cosmo Con is a reference to the Comic Con convention.
- The first appearance of Binky Abdul.
- This is the first and only episode where Cosmo's and Wanda's name is mentioned in a title.
- "Wanda's Day Off" is rated TV-Y7.
