"Bone-Crushing Inter-stellar Battling against 8 of the most punishing and wiederst warriors possible. Customise your armour - you'll need to - and zoom in for close-up carnage as you unleash endless attack variations.. but who's the alien?"

[edit] Story

"ONLY THE STRONGEST SURVIVES
In a Frantic attempt to escape a lifetime of hard labor on the interstellar mining project, a shipload of criminals have hijacked their prison barge and used it to ram a military cruiser the damage was extensive - only four members of each ship survived.

The prison barge is completely useless. Power and life support on the military cruiser are fading fast, and all the escape pods have been destroyed, except one.. and that pod has room for only one passenger.

Eight beings from eight different worlds, either criminals or professional soldiers, are all desperate to survive. There is only one way to determine who will escape and live, and who will die."

A Quick overview:
Cosmic Carnage is 1 of the few 2D fighting game that had been released on the 32X
It uses the same "Zoom-feature" al fightingsgame like Art of Fighting & Samurai Showdown
The is a roster of 8 fighters, 4 with armour selection, 4 without.
Select your armour
you can select, 1 of the 2 armour for 3 bodypart (arms, body, legs) depending on which part you choose, you get a other special move. for instance, when you take the small legs armour for Zena-lan, she can perform a whirlwind-kick, When she has the Big armour on, she can perform an electric groundpound.

The Fight
During the fight - that goes as any other fighting game (Street Fighter/ Mortal Kombat) - 2 aliens battle, till one of the lifebars is empty. Body parts can be destroyed during the fight, and at the end of round 2 - when the opponent has just a little bit of life bar - a "Fatality" can be pulled of by hitting the opponent with a special move. Depending on where the move hits; the head will exploded, the arms of legs will break of.
Funny thing: the some fighters keep moving on the ground, letting move blood come out of there body

Ending the game: The get the good ending for a fighters, is quite tricky in this game. It's time based, so depending on how fast you kill you opponents, the more time there is left to escape to the life pod. AND to drift far enough away from the crashed ships, so the explosion won't hit you. Now, come's the tricky part, I haven't figured out; How much time you have. So just keep trying to beat the game Faster and Faster, is you lifepod is still exploding....

Cheats:
In the PAL-version of Cosmic Carnage, Cyber Brawl can be played by using a Button-sequents when powering up your 32X
