[edit] Article Name
"Corner-person" sounds awkward to me. I think "cornerman" is the more common term. Some quick Google searches seem to agree with me, with "cornerman boxing" getting 34600 hits, "'corner-man' boxing" getting 23700, and "'corner-person' boxing" getting only 311. If there's no objection, I'd like to rename this article to "Cornerman". —Lantoka ( talk | contrib) 03:11, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- The intent was probably to be more PC.. I wonder if Wikipedia has a policy on this (e.g. fireperson vs. fireman, post-person vs. postman...) --CasualFighter 20:16, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- I created this page, and yes it was a PC attempt. But, I agree with you, cornerman is indeed the much more common term, and nowadays i've realized that Wikipedia is not a manifestation of political correctness. So if you want to move it, i'd support that, although you'll have to fix all the links pointing here.--Marcus 00:32, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
