There is no proof Fudge belongs to Slytherin. I have reverted edit, until someone shows a reference. Cthulhu.mythos

[edit] Death Eater?

I put it back. There IS that speculation. Cthulhu.mythos 11:49, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Spoiler

Isn't revealing that his position as Minister of Magic ends in 1996 a spoiler for HBP? Emily (Funtrivia Freak) 17:45, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Date of Appointment

It says in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire that Fudge got the job after Barty Crouch Sr was side shunted after his son's trial which, according to Sirius, took place fairly shortly after Voldemort's fall. Wouldn't that place his appointment no later than 1982, as opposed to 1988? 86.131.163.11 22:57, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Origin of Name

It is extremely unlikely that Cornelius is a reference to Sulla. The Cornelii were an extremely dominant gens in Roman Politics, and there were literally hundreds of Cornelii, including several more famous than Sulla - most notably Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus Major - the Roman who beat Hannibal Barca at the Battle of Zama in 202 BC. It is as logical to equate Fudge with Sulla as it is to equate Severus Snape with Septimius Severus Tomdidiot 19:25, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
