[edit] Confusion about Edits

Hi there. Being a shiny newbie to writing Wikipedia material, I'm easily confused. In particular, I'm confused about the manner in which my writing in this article was edited. It appears that the edits were almost entirely limited to the deletion of "internal link" references, and it would appear that the deleted references were simply those for which there is currently no Wikipedia article (e.g., compare my revision of 09:29, 28 February 2007 to that of Darkest Hour 00:07, 1 March 2007). Can someone explain to me why the references were deleted? As a Wikipedia reader, I am under the impression that it's acceptable to include references to subjects for which there is currently no Wikepedia article--they show up on screen as red links instead of blue, and when you click on them, you're invited to create said article--as they amount to a suggestion that such an article should indeed be written. In addition to being confused and curious, I'd like to be sure that I'm not in violation of an established guideline or protocol. Thank you most kindly for your help.
