Corona Solutions was founded in 1995 by Dale Harris¹ and others who recognized the need for software applications to assist law enforcement agencies with their staffing, deployment and scheduling programs.

Dale has over 20 years of law enforcement experience including crime analysis, staffing, and budget generation. Having first hand knowledge of the complications and consequences of serving in these areas, Dale felt there had to be a better way to get real time reporting for crime analysis, a better way to match staffing resources to activity levels, and a better way to enhance departmental efficiency so resources could be reallocated to where they are truly needed.

The company’s solutions provide law enforcement agencies easier access to data for crime analysis, easier redistricting functionality, and improved resource management. Corona Solutions has been helping law enforcement agencies across North America and the U.K. optimize resources and improve the availability of their Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) information since 1995.

Staff Wizard

Using CAD information and details about your department - workload, historical performance, resources - Staff Wizard^® will calculate the best staffing scenario for any given shift or district, working within your personnel limitations.

Staff Wizard will provide you a bird's eye view of how efficiently your department is functioning now. The flexible design of Staff Wizard allows you to project the staffing requirements for instituting new sets of operational goals. CADmine

CADmine™ is a service that allows law enforcement personnel complete access to what crimes are happening now, what neighborhoods are developing problems, and what the trends suggest will happen tomorrow.

Access to data is provided via a secure and encrypted web portal any time, day or night. Users can query and visualize this data in a multitude of ways. CADmine will alert users via e-mail or wireless device whenever there is an inconsistency, crime type spike, or any occurrence whose parameters are specified by the user. CADmine also provides automatic report distribution via e-mail attachments in industry-standard document formats.

GeoBalance

GeoBalance^® is an automated redistricting tool that will find the best possible arrangement of regions to balance as many as ten statistics at once. The solution is presented as a complete map that can be exported to other GIS systems.

GeoBalance will respect natural or man-made boundaries while it balances regions. "Cluster Influence" can be adjusted to make regions more pragmatically organized. This feature allows regions to be shaped so that drive time is minimized in a region in exchange for perfect volume balancing. The perfect tool for beat redesign and political redistricting!
