Coro Laus Deo et matri dei

Coro Laus Deo et matri dei (formed May 2000) is a choir from Heredia, Costa Rica, inspired by the memory of San Felipe of Italy. With currently 45 singers, Laus Deo has participated in some of the country's most important events, including national televised appearances. The name Laus Deo, taken from Latin, means "Glory to God in the highest".

Laus Deo Choir has the mission of promoting a space for cultural, social and spiritual growth for each of its members. By means of the choral singing, it pretends to embody a close spiritual relationship and invite the audience to a reflexive attitude towards life. Moreover, Laus Deo provides an opportunity for choir followers to listen to some of the world’s finest choral masterpieces.

Laus Deo combines a repertoire from the elegance of classical music to the liveliness of Latin American music including popular and religious songs from different musical periods as well as original compositions.
