Cornwall Search and Rescue Team (formerly Cornwall Rescue Group) was set up in 2003 to provide inland search & rescue cover for the county of Cornwall. A member of South West England Association and affiliated to Mountain Rescue (England & Wales) the team is made up entirely of volunteers drawn from all walks of life and spread across the county. members train weekly in skills including search techniques, first aid, navigation and radio communications and regularly put these in to practice through monthly search and rescue simulations. CSRT is the busiest of the inland search teams in SWERA, despite being the newest, averaging almost 40 callouts a year since its creation.
