Coregonus vandesius

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Coregonus vandesius is a freshwater fish found in the United Kingdom. Its common name is vendace, which otherwise refers to Coregonus albula. It is only found in Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwent Water in the English Lake District. Population surveys since the 1960s have revealed a steadily declining population. The species is now Britain's rarest fish[1].
