Cordova Mall, located in Pensacola, Florida, is the largest shopping center on the northwest Gulf Coast of Florida. It is currently owned and managed by Simon Property Group.
Opened in 1971 and renovated in 1987, Cordova Mall boasts 861,000 square feet of commercial property, with seven anchor stores. Four are situated in the mall (Dillard's Mens, Dillard's Womens, Parisian, which becomes Belk in 2007, and Ross Dress for Less), and three are located in an open-air atmosphere (Best Buy, Bed, Bath and Beyond and Cost Plus World Market). Former anchor tenants include Gayfers and Montgomery Ward, the latter of which used to be situated on what is now the open-air anchor area.
There is a fast-food court as well as more upscale dining selections, such as Pensacola's only Panera Bread, Moe's Southwest Grill, and Romano's Macaroni Grill. Starbucks Coffee recently opened its first mall location in Pensacola at Cordova Mall.
According to the Simon Property Group website, Cordova Mall is the third-most popular tourist destination in the Florida Panhandle, and serves eight million shoppers a year. [1]
